A-Life Healthy Workshops
On Monday 26th November, the whole school were lucky enough to be involved two workshops run A-Life and delivered by Mr Adams.
The morning workshops saw the children taking part in a number of activities that encouraged healthy eating and an understanding of the human body. The activities were hands-on and saw the children exploring concepts such as the amount of sugar in food, balanced diets and different food groups. They were able to test their knowledge and extend their thinking.
The afternoon workshops were based on fitness. The children in Catkins and Acorns were able to take part in Fun Fitness activities and the children in Aspen and Oak took part in Fitness Circuits, trying their hand at different activities from boxing to stretching and mini-trampolining (even Mrs Dowling had a go at this one!).
Overall, the day was very well received and the children had fun learning about healthy lifestyles.
