Oak class trip to Brogdale Farm
Oak Class went to Brogdale Farm near Faversham for their Spring Term Class Trip. The theme of the day was "Come Cooking" and, as part of this, the children were able to make their own apple crumble which the children were able to then take home and enjoy. The children also were taken on a guided tour of the orchards where they were able to view the more than 4000 apple trees that make up the collection, as well as pear, cherry and quince trees. The tour guide for the day was the very knowledgeable Ted, who fascinated the children with the information about the orchards and how the trees are grown and cared for. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day out and were complimented on their behaviour, manners and team work - making the staff and parent helpers very proud.
