Swale Community Leisure 2020 Vision Awards
On Thursday 6th December, Swale Community Leisure held their inaugural 2020 Vision Awards. These awards recognised contributions by individuals, groups and organisations towards encouraging sport, leisure and community values.
One of the awards presented on this evening was the Primary Aquatic Award which recognised the school in Swale with the highest percentage of pupils learning to swim. Thanks to our swimming programme in early 2018 which saw the whole school attending swimming lesson, Milstead and Frinsted School was presented with this award.
Mrs Mason was fortunate enough to attend the awards dinner and collect the award on behalf of the school. The evening was hosted by the very entertaining James Heming from Kent Heart Radio, who posed for a selfie with Mrs Mason and was kind enough to give the school a shout out on the radio the next day. The key note speaker was Atlanta Team GB Olympic Triple Jumper, Michelle Griffith-Robinson who made an inspiring speech about her career and discussed the importance of community sports and leisure programs.
The school received a trophy and certificate to commemorate this award.
